From the field: Power transmission in the event of oil ingress
What happens if there is an oil leak in a machine? In the worst case, this can have expensive consequences. But not with a clutch facing from PZ Friction. We have therefore developed a special clutch facing for a customer's machine system. Even in the event of oil ingress, it enables damage to be safely limited. This is because the lining allows the machine to be shut down without damaging expensive components.

At PZ Friction we manufacture facings for almost all industrial clutches. Which of our existing qualities fits into your clutch or how we manufacture your individual clutch facing, we determine in our consultation.

In which delivery forms are the clutch facings available?
We supply our clutch facings in the following delivery forms:
- as flat strip material up to 2.000 mm
- in rolls up to 5.000 mm
- as rolls in special lengths
- as plates up to 1,000 x 1,500 mm
- as compression molded parts, for example rings or ring segments
In our contract blending facility, we also mix individual raw material blends for your in-house production of clutch facings.
Do you need a different delivery form for your clutch facings?

This is where our Grafite come from
In your clutch facing are mainly European graphite. Each of our suppliers is certified to at least ISO 9001 and places as much emphasis on quality as we do.
Synthetic resins
When binding the components of your clutch facings, we rely on the consistent properties of synthetic resins. Free from natural variations, the resins allow exact dosing and reliable results. The composition of resin, rubber as a further binder and the other raw materials has a significant effect on the strength of the facing - and thus allows us to precisely match your requirements.
What you should know about the origin of our resins
We purchase our synthetic resins mainly from German distributors. The short transport routes save CO2 and make us flexible in the production of your clutch facings. As with all our raw materials, we pay close attention to the quality of our resins. Therefore we only work with certified suppliers and control the properties continuously.
Synthetic rubber
Like synthetic resins, synthetic rubber is free from natural variations. Used as a binder, it reliably bonds the components of your clutch facing in a predictable manner. As a result, we ensure exactly the same properties of every clutch facing in your batch.
This is where our rubber comes from
Our rubber comes exclusively from certified manufacturing plants. Compared to natural rubber, the production does not require any environmentally harmful monocultures. To keep the transport routes short and the quality traceable, we rely mainly on German suppliers.
Pigments
Different types of pigments provide the finishing touches to your clutch facing. From the optimization of friction coefficients to our own coloration, they allow us to precisely match the requirements of your clutch.
The origin of our pigments
We have often known the suppliers of our pigments for years - and they know us. That's why they know exactly that we only use high-quality pigments for the production of our clutch facings. To be absolutely sure, we check every delivery of our pigments again very carefully before we use them for your clutch facings.

We determine the perfect composition for your clutch facing from over 300 different raw materials. In addition to the main components, we use further materials individually matched to your application. They ensure the best resistance to environmental influences in your application, even better power transmission or simpler shaping.
